Connecting rod
A connecting rod, also referred to as a con rod, is a component
that connects the piston and the crankshaft and that works to
transmit combustion pressure received by the piston to the
crankshaft.
The part connected to the piston pin is referred to as the small
end while the part connected to the crankshaft is referred to as
the big end.
