Controlled combustion period
Controlled combustion period is considered to be the third phase
of the combustion process of a diesel engine.
Fuel is still injected after point C, but the injected fuel
burns immediately due to the flame generated between B and C.
This continues until the point (Point D) where injection ends,
at which time, pressure rises relatively slowly.
