Cylinder liner
A cylinder liner is a cylindrical component that fits into the
cylinder block. Classified into two types: wet liners and dry
liners; depending on whether the outer circumference of the
liner comes into direct contact with coolant.
Wet liners have a high cooling effect, while dry liners increase
crankcase rigidity and are cooled evenly, making them less
susceptible to heat deformation.
