Oil pressure switch
An oil pressure switch is a component that operates to
illuminate a warning lamp when the oil pressure decreases. Oil
pressure switches are used in engines such as water-cooled
vertical diesel engines.
If the pressure of the lubricant is low when the engine is
running, lubrication will be incomplete and may result in
seizing or damage.
Oil pressure switches or oil signals are installed to determine
whether or not the pressure of the lubricant is normal.
