Transistor ignition system
A transistor ignition system is a type of non-contact ignition
control system.
In this type of system, the current generated on the primary
side of the ignition coil is suddenly cut off via the switching
action of a transistor or thyristor (SCR), and in which high
voltage is generated on the secondary side of the ignition coil.
