Glow plug
A preheating device used in a diesel engine to compensate for
the difficulty in starting the engine (because heat generated by
air compression is used to ignite fuel) in cold weather.
In the case of direct-injection, glow plugs heat piston head
combustion chambers, in the case of pre-chamber, they heat
preheating combustion chambers or swirl chambers.
